Puck marks December 19th as his adoption day!

Everyone say hello to Puck! A fluffy, fun, fantastic puppy looking for his very own furever home!

Puck starts his day off waking up between 6:30-7am. We take him right outside where he does his business and then comes inside for some playtime! After about 10 minutes he gets to eat breakfast. He gets SO excited to eat, but still knows he has to sit down before he gets his food. He has no problem with people or other animals touching him while he’s eating or sharing his food. He then goes for a walk and plays outside with us and the resident dog.

Puck loves to play! He likes tug-of-war, chase, fetch (but just getting to the ball or stick, not bringing it back ;)), rough housing, etc. He is definitely teething and loves a good Nylabone or yak milk chews. He is a very clumsy puppy, so he is not very fast and his run is super cute and dorky :), he also tumbles a lot, but always gets right back up with his tail wagging.

Puck spends his days playing, napping, walking and eating. He is a pretty medium energy puppy, he is adventurous and fun, but also growing, so he needs good rest.

He does wonderfully with our dog! They share sticks, bones and toys, run around together, wrestle, etc. Puck is starting to fully understand cues from our dog and takes corrections well (like when it’s time to stop chewing on our dogs ear :)). He also does well with our very puppy tolerant, rescued, declawed, cat! He may try to go say hi to the cat every once in a while, when he tries to give kisses and occasionally initiate play. Puck tends to leave the cat alone if he runs away or swats at him, and usually comes to us when we call him to be redirected.

Puck is doing well with potty training! He needs to go out every 40ish minutes and be told “go potty!” and redirected if he decides he’d rather just lay down and chew on a stick. He loves the colder weather and being outside! He’ll be a great companion for all seasons, but especially winter! He walks well on a leash and loves to go for fun walks and hikes! He may get tired and ask to be carried for a little while though :). Speaking of being carried, he hasn’t totally mastered stairs yet, but he’s getting there!

Puck hasn’t met a lot of people, but for those he has, he’s been super sweet and gentle. He hasn’t met any kids but because of his good nature and friendliness we think he’d do wonderfully with them. For the dogs he’s met on walks, he’s been very friendly but scared/overwhelmed if they don’t just leave him alone after sniffing. He isn’t mean at all and we think he’ll definitely grow out of this as he gets older and bigger, or if he were to meet a dog closer to his age/size.

The little bit of crate training Puck has done has been going well. He hasn’t been left alone during the day, but at night when he goes into his crate he is quiet or may whine a tiny bit before falling asleep. He is overall a pretty quiet puppy, but he will bark occasionally when playing or if he can’t figure something out (like stairs:)).

Even though Puck is a wonderful puppy, anyone considering adopting him should know that he will become a very big, furry dog! And although we think he’d be a great first dog for someone, his adopter needs to be committed to training and socializing him, and spending lots of time with him :).

Puck is a super sweet puppy that loves being part of a family and can’t wait to find his very own people! Could that be you?
