Meet Santa’s Reindeer, a festive crew of nine adorable mixed-breed puppies born to bring joy, love, and a little holiday magic to their forever homes! These little bundles of cheer will be ready to find their families in early January – the perfect way to ring in the New Year!
These little reindeer spent their first few weeks safe and cared for by their loving mom, who did her best to protect and nurture them. Tragically, their story took a turn when their mom was shot, leaving her in urgent need of medical care. This brave family ended up at a rural Texas jail, where kind-hearted inmates cared for them before they could be moved to foster care. Their mom is receiving the care she needs. Thanks to her strength and the care of the jail trustees, the puppies are thriving!
Prancer is spirited and lively with a flair for fun and a heart full of love.
These pups are looking for loving families who can provide training, socialization, and plenty of cuddles. They will thrive in homes where they can be part of the action – whether it’s playing in the yard, going on walks, or snuggling on the couch.
If you’re ready to make your home merry and bright all year long, apply today to meet your perfect reindeer match!
Adopting a newborn puppy from Fetch
At Fetch, we’re proud of the loving, healthy puppies born and raised in our care. We have raised more than 200 newborn puppies and counting, in addition to countless litters transferred to us when they were just days old. Each puppy receives round-the-clock attention, expert care, and a whole lot of love from the very start. Our team of volunteers work tirelessly to make sure they get everything they need, from socialization and basic training to regular veterinary visits. By the time our puppies are ready to go to their forever homes, they are well-prepared to join families and bring joy to their adopters’ lives.
Adopting a puppy from Fetch means you don’t have to go to a breeder to find a healthy, happy companion. Our puppies are raised to be adaptable, comfortable around people and other animals, and ready to embrace new experiences. We take time to observe each puppy’s unique personality, so when it’s time for them to join a new family, we make sure it’s the right fit. This individualized approach helps our puppies thrive in their new homes and brings joy to everyone involved. We have a select few foster homes that specialize in raising litters, and have each raised dozens of litters for our rescue. Having an experienced eye care for these puppies as they grow up is critical to their long-term success.
When you choose to adopt a puppy through Fetch, you’re not only welcoming a wonderful puppy into your family, but you’re also helping to save more lives. Each adoption frees up space and resources for other dogs who need our care, allowing us to help more animals find loving homes. Adopting a puppy from Fetch Wisconsin Rescue gives you a lifelong companion and supports our mission to save lives—one pup at a time.
PRANCER
In the short time Prancer has been with us, he has blossomed into a funny, outgoing, snuggly, playful puppy.
His day starts with getting up with us about 6am when we start our day, then right outside for potty which he is getting the hang of even in this colder weather. (though I do put a sweater on him since he does get cold easily)
A bit of playtime before eating breakfast in his crate. He LOVES his food & snacks so that’s a bonus for training him on different manners/tricks as he grows! Outside for another potty break before he goes into his crate while I get ready for work. He is not a lover of the crate (or being away from his human for too long), but we’re working on it with having meals there, he knows it’s not a scary place and I’ll come “rescue” him when he’s quieted down and calm.
He plays for a short time before I start work in my home office where he usually falls asleep at my feet for a morning nap.
I feed him again around the lunch hour and take him out for as long (or short) as he wants for more potty breaks.
He will happily play by himself (though he has a pretty short attention span) – I just make sure there is a basket full of toys to keep him occupies. One of his favorite activities is to pull toys out of the basket and play with them on the floor until another nap takes hold.
I have three resident dogs (all over 65#). Two of them like to play with him and he’s a willing participant, learning the ropes of play & boundaries. My other dog is very selective and usually wants to be left alone – he is respectful of her space & cues and on correction, he backs off from her willingly.
He has not been around cats, but I think he’ll be curious of them. Since he’s so young, getting him used to cats early, I don’t see him having any issue with them at all. He LOVES all people and whether they come here to the house, or we see them on our outings to Farm & Fleet, Home Depot, PetSmart, etc – he is a big lover and gets so much attention with his unique good looks – always happy to see a smiling face. He charms everyone he meets. He’s great in the car, very observant looking out the window or happy to fall asleep on his blanket.
He is a typical puppy and we’re working on no bite, no jump, etc. He will follow me to the kitchen for treats or meals but will (mostly) sit nicely while I’m preparing. He likes ice cubes (and mimics my dogs when they wait for me to get them from the freezer). Due to his young age, he will need help, consistency & direction with continuing potty & crate training and good manners as he grows and learns your routine.
He is SO happy, playful and loves most to snuggle with you or at/on your feet while you’re working, reading, etc. Prancer likes to be near his people and will let you know if you’re out of sight too long. With more exposure to being alone (we’re doing that now in short spurts), will build his confidence you’re not leaving him for too long. He is SO wiggly and happy when he sees you again! He is adorable and sweet – he’ll make someone a wonderful, happy, companion for years to come.
