Phoebe is a small Dachshund/Shih Tzu mix with a sweet and affectionate personality. She loves being close to her people, cuddling on the couch, going for car rides, and playing with toys and the other dogs in the home. She can stay comfortably in her crate during the day and enjoys a relaxed home routine. Phoebe can be a little nervous when meeting new people and may bark when someone enters the home, but she settles once she realizes everything is okay. Phoebe does have ongoing potty training challenges (pooping inside) despite consistent efforts to train her. Because of this, she would do best with a patient owner who understands small dogs and is willing to continue working with routines.
She would love a home with another dog since she really enjoys our other dogs, but she could also do well as an only dog if she receives plenty of attention. Phoebe is a loving little dog who enjoys companionship and being part of a family.
