Meet Perry! This sweet and intelligent 9 month old (born May 25, 2024) is endearing and lovable. When you walk in the door, he’ll greet you with a wagging tail and warm nuzzle. He enjoys cuddling on the couch with head and belly rubs. He has a soft coat of fur (a bonus: he sheds little to not at all)! Perry is curious, and athletic. He is a big dog and needs a lot of exercise. He enjoys games and toys that keep him challenged and stimulated. He is friendly with other dogs. He has completed 2 courses of training at Teacher’s Pet Training Academy in Dane County, Wisconsin. Perry is making good progress with his walking behavior by not pulling on the leash. We reward him with small dog training treats, praise and head rubs. Perry is starting once a week dog daycare. Perry is quite strong already, so children need to be monitored. Perry is fully crate-trained and house-broken, although he sometimes tinkles when he’s excited to see someone walk through the door.
His current owners are in their 70’s and recently developed some medical issues. They believe it is in
Perry’s best interest if he lives with someone who can give him the active lifestyle he deserves.
