Updates
Penny has really opened up the past week! Now that she's more comfortable and has been given a routine, she's much more comfortable in her crate and only cries occasionally for a few minutes. She's even been allowed to free roam unattended for short periods of time and has done really well!
Penny has had the opportunity to visit a few breweries and she does great! She even attended a Fetch event last week with other dogs and lots of new people. She's very calm and just enjoys watching the world go by and getting pets.
Penny's confidence has grown exponentially in the past week and while she still loves to snuggle and know where her people are, she's become much more comfortable doing her own thing and not needing to be right next to her person. She's even started getting the zoomies in the morning around the yard, which is very fun to watch!
For those concerned about the classic Beagle bay that might come along with a Beagle mix, Penny has been pretty quiet overall, mostly only whining once and awhile in her crate. The few times she's barked, it's been a pretty traditional-sounding dog bark, so the Beagle vocalization doesn't seem to be a trait she's inherited.
Due to Penny’s age, she has not yet been spayed. She will be adopted out with an addendum to the adoption agreement to be altered at an appropriate age.
