Ollie is a happy, friendly, bouncy little dog who was found as a stray in Texas. He was very matted and had to be shaved, so his fur looks a little funny now, but when his hair grows out he will be really cute! His paperwork lists him as a schnauzer mix, but I think he’s actually more poodle. He has a soft, curly coat and does not shed. He will need regular haircuts when his hair grows out.
As a young adult, Ollie still has some puppy energy and absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He is friends with all of them instantly. If no one wants to play with him, he’s happy to play with toys by himself. He loves to bounce around with a squeaky toy in his mouth. He’s also very good at playing fetch and will bring the toy right back to you and drop it at your feet.
Ollie has not had any potty accidents in the house so far, but I still keep an eye on him when he’s loose indoors, since he’s still a puppy. I would recommend crating him at first when unattended. He sometimes cries in his crate when you first put him in, but quiets down quickly. He sleeps nicely in his crate all night until I get up.
Ollie has met cats and chickens and was very excited and wanted to play with them. I didn’t let him, but he definitely would chase if he had the chance.
Ollie absolutely loves people and has no shyness whatsoever. He does pull on his leash a bit because he’s so excited to say hi to everyone, but he’s so small that he’s easy to manage. He would be a great dog to join you at patios and breweries, or if you need a dog for the Fetch 5k!
