Congrats to Olaf on his adoption July 1!

PUPDATE 2

Olaf continues to do incredibly well with sleeping through the night and crate time while I'm working. He's a medium energy boy who settles down a lot easier than most of the puppies I've fostered. He's going to be a pretty big boy (guessing 70-80 pounds) when full grown so applicants should look forward to have a good sized dog! Still working on potty training and learning to ask when he needs to go out, but he's getting better. He plays extremely well with all other dogs he's met and is very gentle with my cats just sniffing them here and there. He also really loves meeting new people and goes right up wagging his tail for attention. He's going to be such an amazing family member!

PUPDATE 1

Say hello to Olaf! He's a lovely young man who was rescued with the rest of his litter in Louisiana. His dad was suspected to have some Saint Bernard in him so we're guessing he's going to be a pretty big boy once full grown! Olaf can't wait to find a forever home full of love and toys.

Olaf can sleep through the night in his crate and can do crate sessions during the day if needed with potty breaks every couple hours. He's still working on potty training but is comfortable going potty outside so just needs help learning that he should ask if he needs a potty break. Olaf loves to play with toys or a good chew toy. He really likes his Himalayan yak cheese chews! Olaf also loves to play with other dogs and has done well with my three personal dogs of varying temperaments. He will happily play chase with his foster friends Jack and Chrissy or he will slow down to play with my Pug. He also lives with two cats currently and is curious about them but leaves them alone when asked to.

Olaf is a little bit shy with humans at first and he might shy away at first when you go to grab him. He is extremely warm and friendly with everyone he's met though and will typically come up to say hello relatively quickly. Olaf likes to bark at people passing the yard sometimes to make sure you see them. He has seemed a little nervous when a bunch of people are coming by the yard at once and might look to you for support and guidance. When people actually come in the home or to say hi to him though, he is relatively outgoing and calmly greets people. If you sit on the floor, he'll quickly come over to curl in your lap for some love and snuggles. Olaf has not met children except through a fence while with me.

If you're looking for a large breed, playful, trainable, friendly young puppy - Olaf might be the guy for you!
