This 3-year-old scruffy Schnauzer mix is a true one-person dog with a big heart and even bigger devotion. Once he chooses his person, he bonds deeply and wants nothing more than to be by their side — following you from room to room, curling up next to you at night, and soaking in quiet companionship.
He does well with other dogs and currently lives peacefully with three canine housemates. While he’s polite and respectful around them, his focus is always on his human. He would be just as happy as an only dog or with calm dog friends who don’t need his attention.
This sweet guy is very sensitive and anxious, especially when separated from his person. He doesn’t love being crated and may cry when confined, but when he’s out and near his person, he settles beautifully and feels safe. He sleeps through the night in bed and does great with a consistent routine and gentle reassurance.
Because of his nervous nature, he is not a good fit for a home with children. While he has never bitten, he can be unsure and may growl when he feels overwhelmed. He needs a calm, adult-only home where his boundaries are respected and he can relax without stress.
