Nico is an absolute sweetheart as long as you are patient and allow him to come to you on his terms. He isn’t at all aggressive. At first he will be afraid of everyone, but given time he will learn that you only want the best for him and he is playful and cuddly. He is house trained but not crate trained as he was scared of the crate and wouldn’t go near it. He is left for up to 8 hours alone at home and does well. He doesn’t jump on people but will run in circles to let you know he wants to play. He loves soft toys and rope toys. He has a plastic bone that he will chew on if he’s bored. He likes to sleep in bed with me and curls up close. He did well with another dog about 15 lbs who was my parents dog. He doesn’t bark and when he sees a squirrel or deer he is alert but quiet. With Nico, patience is key and once he is comfortable in the house and around people he is the perfect dog.
