Say hi to this gentle giant from the south. Neko made the long trip from Alabama during New Year’s weekend. Two humans and two canines, Fetch alumni, welcomed her with open arms. Neko is calm, chill and an unbelievable love bug. So much so that she thinks she’s a lap dog. Yep, it’s an interesting thing to envision 😊.
Neko often hangs with me in my home office on hybrid days or is in her crate while we’re onsite at work. She easily goes in her crate and is happy to have a bone or a toy to play with it. As Neko is still young, she exhibits puppy-like behavior by getting into things which she shouldn’t. It’s best to keep an eye on her, but honestly, Neko mostly hangs with our resident dogs or can be found napping.
Snow was new to Neko. She’s enjoyed romping around as well as silently observing the sights and sounds when she’s outside. Neko is not an obsessive barker, frankly, I’ve barely heard her.
Neko’s schedule is routine:
6 am – wake up, go outside, eat and back outside
8 am – joins me on Teams calls or hangs in her crate
Free time, play time, crate time, outside/inside time, nap time
6 pm – eat, outside, play time, nap time
10:30 pm – nighttime
Neko is a people-person, first and foremost. She LOVES to be around people, following people, watching people, hanging in the kitchen as the people make food (she doesn’t beg nor is she a counter surfer), sitting on or laying on people and playing with dogs.
Are you looking for a life-long friend who is big, sweet, kind, may have a little naughty streak, happily naps for a few hours a day, plays well with others and may be a punk-rocker based on the dark eyeliner 😊. Neko is waiting at the window for you!
