Meet Miss Tot 🥔

Miss Tot is a sweet and gentle 4-year-old terrier mix looking for her forever home! She’s a petite little lady with a soft, shy spirit that warms up into quiet affection once she feels comfortable (I've had her for a few days and she's already very cuddly). She is calm, tender-hearted, and a little reserved at first. She isn’t a big player, but about once a day she’ll get the zoomies and show off her silly side for 20 minutes before happily settling back down. She hasn’t met cats or children yet; given her gentle and shy nature, she would likely do best with respectful, older kids who can give her some space to get comfy.

Crate training: Miss Tot is not a fan of her crate, possibly due to her experience in the past. We are working on crate training for a few minutes at a time with lots of treats. She's been sleeping in bed with me and likes to cuddle all night.

Leash skills: She enjoys walks and does well on leash, though she zig-zags a lot—so “leash trained” might be a stretch. She also loves to chase after birds and will give a healthy tug in her pursuits.

House training: Her rescue (RUFF) reports that she’s house trained, but she hasn’t quite figured it out in her foster home. When she first arrived, she preferred to potty on a puppy pad as soon as she got back inside. As she's gotten more comfortable, she's had far fewer accidents. A home rather than an apartment might also help with potty training. Since she's not a fan of her crate, I've been allowing her to free roam while I'm at work. I haven't come home to an accident in a few days!

Miss Tot would thrive in a calm, patient home that can help her continue building confidence and gently reinforce her potty and crate training. She doesn’t need tons of activity, just a loving family who appreciates her quiet charm, her short-lived playtime, and her snuggly, easygoing nature. If you're looking for your next velcro dog, Miss Tot may just be your gal!
