Meet Mercedes! Found in a storm, now spreading sunshine everywhere she goes! This playful pup is house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to shower her future family with love.
Mercedes' favorite things include:
Hiking and exploring the great outdoors and city neighborhoods
Playtime with balls and toys (she loves fetch and tug!)
Snuggling up for cozy nap sessions.
Being in everyone’s business! ;)
She has a friendly, fun-loving disposition and medium energy level. She loves to be active outdoors and has great endurance for longer hikes and weekend adventures. Most days though, getting two or three 20-30 minutes walks meets her physical needs. Playing, training, and other enrichment activities also help her be at her best.
Mercedes is very treat motivated and has learned to sit, look, shake, touch, lay down, wait, stay, leave it, and drop it. Her ideal people would continue to work on her training and impulse control while appreciating her big personality.
Mercedes is being fostered as an only dog with no kids, but she could potentially do well in a variety of households. She does well when she’s been around kids and has made friends with easy-going and well-socialized male dogs. We’ve been working on some mild leash reactivity and she’s made great progress. A dog has to get pretty close now (usually <10 feet) to trigger any barking and lunging.
If you're looking for a fun-loving companion to join you on all your outdoor adventures, look no further than Mercedes! This sweetheart has been in foster care for months now and made incredible progress. She’s more than ready now for her forever family!
