Updates

Meet Meatball! Meatball starts his day when his foster parents wake up at around 8 AM and he's let out of his crate to do his stuff in the backyard. Then, he makes sure he gets his good morning scratches and pets in before eating his breakfast. Afterwards, Meatball chills with his foster parent while she works at home with the occasional toy playing, chasing after the resident dog/small backyard critters, and looking out the window. In the evening, Meatball eats his dinner, enjoys some TV and cuddle time, and then goes on his last walk and gets his dental treat in his crate for bedtime.

Meatball is a huge people lover! He will go up to guests and ask them for pets right away and isn't shy with anyone he meets. Once he's found a close friend, Meatball slumps down and rolls over for belly scratches! Meatball loves cuddling with his foster parents and watching TV with us.

Meatball has no exposure with children yet.

Meatball is a medium to high energy level dog. He goes on walks with some running/getting the zoomies out in our backyard. We are currently working on his leash manners but he is definitely improving!

Meatball mostly ignores other dogs when they are around. He will play with them if he's in the mood but he'd rather play with toys or receive pets and scratches from humans. When he does feel like playing with other dogs, his playstyle is more to chase other dogs around rather than wrestling with them or playing tug. Although, our resident dog is slowly teaching Meatball how to wrestle with her.

Meatball has no exposure with cats.

Meatball goes in his crate with a blanket covering it when we leave the home. He goes into his crate without any problem at all but once he realizes his humans are gone, he will whine and bark. He is not destructive though.

Meatball has a slight heart murmur, but the vet did not find it concerning and it does not affect his daily routine. The vet recommends another check up in a year to verify that the heart murmur is normal for him and that things have not changed. He is also set to have his neuter surgery on May 8th.
