Macy is an approximately 2-year-old Poodle mix — our best guesses are Olde English Sheepdog or Aussie — but we are quite certain Macy is an absolute love! She warms up to new people instantly and within minutes is often offering kisses. She is happiest snuggled with her humans. She currently lives in a multi-dog foster home and is doing very well! She hasn’t been big on playing with her canine foster siblings yet, just hanging out near her foster humans and watching dogs play and chase around the yard.
She is amazing in the car! She can ride either tethered or crated, and is a very polite passenger the duration of the trip. She is crate trained — but if she’s crated and knows you’re around, she will remind you she’s crated. She does eventually settle in though, especially when she knows you’re gone and then she just naps.
Being a poodle mix, Macy will need routine hair care. Fortunately — she’s a pro! She will tolerate grooming and bathing without any fuss and is a very cooperative client. Many groomers recommend poodle mixes be groomed on a 4-8 week schedule with daily brushing to prevent mats.
We haven’t taken Macy for any runs just yet, but she’s very happy to join you on a leisurely stroll, and she’s very manageable on leash. If you’re looking for a new work from home, casual walking, lounge on the patio kind of girl — Macy is absolutely your gal!
