Lucy Bean

Husky (Siberian) mix | 7 Months Old | Spayed FemALe | 50 LBs

QUICK FACTS: ✔️ Good with other dogs! ✔️ Potty trained! ✔️ Crate trained! ✔️ Good in the car! ✔️ Okay for beginner dog owner! 🧸Loves to play

✅ Smart girl who listens well & is very affectionate
✅ Still a puppy who is learning boundaries
✅ She is full of energy so we definitely take the time for walks and fetch to wear her out throughout the day.
✅ Sleeps in a dog bed on the floor of our bedroom at night. The door to her crate is open and sometimes she will move to the crate in the middle of the night.
✅ If we have to leave the house, Lucy always goes into the crate with a bone or chew toy.
✅ Loves attention and always wants to play. She loves fetch, and is a great listener when you tell her to bring the ball back and drop.
✅ She also loves rope toys and any kind of bones.
✅ She goes on 1 or 2 daily walks and loves to explore. She prefers to have part of the leash in her mouth and lead you... so it is a work in progress.
✅ She is so smart and learns quickly: She will sit for a treat, she comes when we call her, and we are working on “go to your bed.” She is VERY motivated by food.
✅ Had a few accidents the first couple of days. But she is now standing at the back door to let us know she needs to go out.
✅ Lucy does really well with my 3 older dogs and she responds when they correct her or let her know they don’t want to play. We do not have a cat... but I would imagine she would try to chase it. She loves to chase the birds and squirrels out back... but fortunately she just isn’t fast enough.
✅ Lucy is going to make a great pet to anyone with kids or other dogs. As I mentioned, she is so smart and such a sweet snuggler.

UPDATES

Welcome to Madison, Lucy! She made the long trip from Texas and is thriving as a Midwest dog. She loves playing with our two-year old Fetch alumni dog outside and in the house. After a play session, she's ready for a mid-morning nap while gazing out the window.

Lucy arrived fully crate trained and has not had an accident in the house, shout out to those fantastic fosters in Texas! While we're home, Lucy can free roam as long as we check on her occasionally. She's still a puppy and enjoys exploring her environment. Her FAVORITE activity is to destroy all squeakers in toys. Every now and then we need to turn the music volume up to hear over the loud squeaks.

Lucy is a complete goof ball, which we've thoroughly enjoyed. Case and point: check out the pictures of the frisbee on her head and the obsession with drinking from the hose :)

Her fur is soft for snuggles. She sleeps through the night on her bed on the floor though she starts on our bed for about 20 min.

Lucy's typical schedule
- wakes up around 6 am
- goes out, eats and back outside
- play session with dogs or toys
- nap
- alternating between playing, hanging outside and more naps
- eats around 6 pm
- she gets an energy burst around 8 pm
- nap
- bed around 10:30 - 11

Lucy is always smiling and is camera ready, did you see her ears?! She can't wait to share a lifetime of smiles with you.
