Laredo found her family on Memorial Day!
Say hello to Laredo, this sweet, silly, smiley puppy is ready to find her furever home!
Where to start with this wonderful puppy! She has recently gained a resident feline friend, and she is wonderful with him! She gets very excited to see him and goes right up to sniff. When she realizes he doesn’t want to play with her, she happily goes to play with toys or sniff other things. She may bark at the cat when she is especially playful, but always respects his boundaries.
Laredo is great with other dogs! She reads their body language incredibly well, and is naturally submissive. She befriends every dog she meets!
Due to the warmer weather, Laredo has been exposed to bodies of water and watering cans/hoses. She LOVES water! She hasn’t fully gone for a swim, but she likes to splash around (literally, she paws at the water, it’s adorable :)) She also will try to go right under the watering can and pretend to be a plant so she can “attack” the water. Her love for water also continues inside the house, where sometimes she paws in the water bowl. We’re working on that :)
This girl is so playful! She loves to play tug of war and fetch with people, and chase with other dogs. She loves all toys and is really good about sticking to toys over household items.
Laredo has also started going for runs and she does great! She enjoys the exercise, and typically stays right next to her running buddy. She may pull on the leash a little, more during walks than runs, but having a harness helps. She loves exploring and makes a great companion for adventures!
She is great about sleeping in her crate at night! Laredo stays gated off in the kitchen when we are gone during the day and does amazingly! We think she just curls up for a nap and only wakes up when we come home.
She is getting close with potty training, and now most of her accidents are due to human mistakes.
Laredo is SO smart and food motivated! She has mastered “sit” and “down” and is working on “come”, “drop it” and “wait”. We know she’ll have these all down in no time.
