Lambeau is approximately 9 years old. We have had him for 7 years. He was a Harvey dog, rescued following the events of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas. He is a neutered German Shepherd mix. He has a deformed paw, the vet believes his leg was caught in a trap OR was abused with something wrapped around his leg and it never healed properly. He walks on it well and doesn’t seem to be bothered by it. It can get dry on that paw easily and can crack and bleed, so we maintain moisture on it with lotions. He is the sweetest dog who is very attached to humans - he absolutely loves human interaction. He is perfect with people & children of all ages. He does have a bit of anxiety, so he will pace all day and rarely sit down to rest.
Both Lambeau and Kenai (see separate profile) are well-tempered around other dogs and people. They have never been around cats so I’m not sure how they would be around them. They have been together for 7 years so I’d love for them to go together, but I am sure they would be fine if they could not be. They are both up to date on their vaccinations, and they have flea collars that can last up to 8 months. We are so sad that we are rehoming part of our family, but my husband is dealing with unexpected health issues and this is the best option we have at the moment.
