PUPDATE 2

Khris is growing up to be a confident, goofy, fun loving, smart young lady! She loves playing fetch and tug, and she enjoys eating treats and chewing bones. We have successfully cut her nails twice, and she tolerates it well. She doesn’t love the bath, but she will stand still to be washed. We are working on leash training her, and she’s done very well in the backyard for her training sessions. Her best friends are other puppies! Khris was the belle of book club last month, and she loved being held by multiple new people. She was a calm, quiet guest at a brewery patio. She’s everything you can want in a dog and more!!

While Khris currently wakes up early, she will adjust to your schedule! She is flexible and will settle into your routine in a few days. While we don’t know how big she will get, we do know that she is approximately 25-30 lbs as of mid-October and is long and lanky.

PUPDATE 1

We wake up around 4:30 am, take a potty and poop break as well as play time in the yard, then eat breakfast and continue to play both inside and outside for about 60-90 minutes. When foster mom/dad are at work (8 hours, usually 8am to 4pm), all dogs are crated and do well. From 4pm to 9pm, we rotate the resident and foster dogs for play time and snuggles, then it's time for bed! She sleeps through the night in her crate.

Khris does very well with all people, although she can be a little shy. She did fine at the vet meeting people outside the home and quickly warms up to new people inside the home. Khris has not met any children.

Khris is not leash trained as she is not fully vaccinated (due to her age) so we don't want to put her at risk of contracting any infectious diseases. She has medium energy levels and plays with siblings for 4-6 hours per day.

Khris does well with other dogs and ignores our cat. She does chew on non-toys, which is very typical for all puppies. She is 80% potty trained with an accident every 2-3 days and easily redirected.

Early on, Khris would cry initially for a few minutes when left alone but since settling in has been quiet in her crate. Now she is in her crate while we are at work (8 hours) and does well.

Khris is very sweet and loves to be held/snuggled. She will ask for cuddles and is just a lovely puppy with a heart of gold. She is quite calm and content to hang out without demanding playtime.
