Introducing sweet miss Jessie! This 2-year-old dachshund mix is all love and wiggles. She is incredibly affectionate and loves to give kisses, loves to play, and also enjoys a good snooze on a comfy dog bed (or couch, if you'll let her!). Her foster mom thinks she is mixed with a basset hound because of her long body and speckled paws. No matter what she's mixed with, she is really, really cute!!
Jessie is fostered with a 5-year-old kid and has done great with him. She's also met people of all ages and adores getting pet and loved on. She is still working on some basic manners, like not jumping when she meets new friends and walking on the leash. She is small in size and super treat motivated, though, so her family will have lots of fun with her training!
This girl really does have it all - she's already crate trained and hasn't had any accidents in her foster home. She also quickly learned how to play fetch, and really enjoys playing with squeaky toys and chewing on bones. She's still working on knowing which things are toys (and which are not), but she is very easily redirected and learning quickly. Her foster sister is a 50-lb, high energy dog, and they do great with each other! Jessie is more of a medium energy dog. She loves to play but tires herself out pretty quickly and then just loves following her person about the house. She really is the sweetest!
