Hendrix is a sweet and playful puppy who is opening up to his foster family more everyday! He loves to spend his time in the backyard chasing leaves, doing some general frolicking, playing tug with ropes and then coming inside to take a nap in his crate. He has been doing well with crate training and understands that he goes in there for time by himself and sleeping (he's a professional napper). He is a very quiet puppy with some whines and howls few and far between. Loud noises and quick movements are a little frightening to him so slow introductions to new people are recommended.
Hendrix has been trying really hard in his potty training and has had good progression through his foster stay. He has had some accidents in the house but he's getting so much better! The adopting family will need to continue house training. Hendrix likes to go on multiple walks throughout the day and is doing really well with leash training although he does start biting the leash if he wants to take a break and go back inside. He is still learning that not everything in the grass needs to go in his mouth and leaves/mulch are not food. Hendrix is very fun to play with and is a gentle player. He also likes to solo play and will entertain himself with toys and food puzzles.
We have only encountered a couple of dogs on our walks and he is a little scared of them but loves to give them a sniff. He is hesitant with new people and dogs so a slow intro is definitely recommended. Some of Hendrix's likes include tug ropes, squeaky toys, pumpkin on a lick pad, treats in a kong, taking a nap in big blanket nests, and chasing his humans in the back yard. Some things Hendrix doesn't like are loud noises and squirrels. Hendrix is a very loving pup and is easy to get along with, a typical puppy with a few quirks!
Hendrix will be adopted out with an addendum to his contract to be neutered at an appropriate age.

Each puppy receives round-the-clock attention, expert care, and a whole lot of love from the very start. Our team of volunteers work tirelessly to make sure they get everything they need, from socialization and basic training to regular veterinary visits. By the time our puppies are ready to go to their forever homes, they are well-prepared to join families and bring joy to their adopters’ lives.
Adopting a puppy from Fetch means you don’t have to go to a breeder to find a healthy, happy companion. Our puppies are raised to be adaptable, comfortable around people and other animals, and ready to embrace new experiences. We take time to observe each puppy’s unique personality, so when it’s time for them to join a new family, we make sure it’s the right fit. This individualized approach helps our puppies thrive in their new homes and brings joy to everyone involved. We have a select few foster homes that specialize in raising litters, and have each raised dozens of litters for our rescue. Having an experienced eye care for these puppies as they grow up is critical to their long-term success.
