Hawthorne loves to start his day with a medium-length walk then plays with toys while I get ready for work. He walks well on the leash and is generally quite well behaved. When I get home from work, we'll take a longer walk or play fetch in the backyard for a bit. Then Hawthorne is happy to chew on some toys or snuggle and snooze with you the rest of the night! He has a good medium energy where he's happy to play but doesn't need a ton every day.
Hawthorne has liked all people he has met in my home and on walks. He is usually pretty calm and neutral with greetings.
No regular exposure to children.
Hawthorne does very well with all types of dogs he's met. He is best friends with his roomie Mocha (fellow foster dog) who he came into Fetch with from a prior home together. He will snuggle Mocha and share really well with her. He happily gets along with all sorts of other dogs too including my rambunctious puppy and my grouchy old lady. He gets a little overwhelmed in new situations/environments, but is generally pretty submissive. He has gotten minorly protective over his food before so I just feed him separately.
Hawthorne does well with the two cats in my home and generally ignores them.
He does quite well in his crate while I'm at work and only barks once in a while and even then he settles pretty quickly. He has done quite well with potty training and has only had one accident inside when exploring my house for the first time.
Hawthorne is an incredibly sweet boy who is so so happy and loyal. His friend Mocha and he were found alone with their former owner after they passed away. They were well loved and are looking to be well loved again!
