Harper is a very friendly, overly loving dog! She needs a lot of attention and loves a good snuggle. In the spring of 2021, we adopted Harper to be a friend to our other 7 year old dog that we've had since she was a puppy. Previously she was in a home with 22 other hound dogs and has had at least 1 litter of dogs herself. She is amazing with kids and dogs. From what I know, she has never been around any cats or other animals, but I don't think that would be an issue for her. Full disclosure: she is a hound dog, so she has the hound dog bark. She has completed intensive dog training and has gotten much better walking on a leash and not marking her territory. We are looking to re-home her because unfortunately last summer our other dog attacked Harper after our first dog had a major stomach surgery and thought Harper was provoking her. They did like to play fight and it never got anywhere near out of hand until the day after our other dogs emergency surgery. We took both dogs to training together and unfortunately Harper is very afraid to be around our other dog. We have been keeping them separate for over a year. We don't want either dog to be kenneled up for half of the day on and off, so we are making the very, very difficult decision to re-home Harper. We are happy to answer any questions and we want to make sure Harper goes to the right home and family. She deserves to live a fear free life and get all of the attention.
