Hank is a happy, friendly terrier mix who was picked up as a stray in Texas. He is fully potty trained and seems to be very used to living in a home. He sleeps downstairs on the couch at night and is excited to greet me in the mornings. He loves to go for his morning walk and loves to pull on the leash and try to chase squirrels. He spends the work day at home by himself and has not gotten into anything or had any potty accidents. In the evening we go for another walk and then he will cuddle up to watch TV in the evenings. He loves to run and play outside but is very relaxed and snuggly when indoors.
Hank is the only dog in his home right now but has had several play dates with other dogs and does great with all of them. He is curious and friendly but not overbearing.
Hank cried a little bit in his crate the first day, but we used a spray bark collar one time and he has been perfectly quiet since then, even without the bark collar on. After the first few days we have just left him loose when we aren’t home and he is perfectly well behaved.
Hank loves to try to slip out open doors on his quest to find squirrels, so we have to be very careful when going in and out of the front door as he will stand by your feet and wait for his chance to sneak out. He got out once, but only to go say hi to a neighbor. He cannot be trusted off leash in an open area because he will take off if he sees a squirrel. He’s very well behaved and attentive indoors, but the outdoors just has too many exciting things for his terrier brain.
Hank is a very easy, sweet dog who would fit very well into almost any home. He is excited to meet you and charm you with his big ears and his silky coat.
