Gumby was adopted March 2025, congratulations to Gumby and his new family!
Meet Gumby! This beautiful boy is as sweet as he can be! In his foster home we wake up early in the morning for breakfast and potty time. Then its play time and a walk. Throughout the day Gumby will sleep, play with the other dog in the home, or snuggle with the humans. Another walk in the afternoon and some more outdoor playtime. Then an evening meal and more play/snuggling before bed.
Gumby sleeps in the same room as his foster Mom and Dad, he does not need crating at night. Gumby has had no accidents in the house. When he is alone at home he is crated, he is still working on being quiet in his crate, but we are working on that. He may have a little separation anxiety.
Gumby does well with the other dog that lives in the house, needs to learn boundaries with play. He met one other dog outside the home and did not really engage in play. He also lives with 2 cats currently and does ok, he will try to chase sometimes but backs off when the cats redirect him. He has not been around children. Currently living in a home in the country and has seen chickens and cows.
Gumby likes to give hugs and will try to wrap his front paws around your waist, he does this gently most of the time. He will need training on basic commands, doing well with sit. Very treat motivated! He looks to his people for direction and just wants to learn how to be the best dog. We are trying to get him interested in toys and games. Chases a ball once in a while. Gumby does great on leash and loves walks, would be a great running buddy. He is up for anything his people are doing whether it's running around or being lazy. With some training and patience Gumby will make a great addition to any family!
