PUPDATE 2

Hello humans! I love fall! My favorite thing has been chasing after leaves in little wind gusts to see how many I can catch at a time. I've also continued to find little pumpkins in my neighbors' yards and they let me play with them. I've found some new fun places to curl up in, especially when I build a little pillow and blanket fort for myself. I'm also a laundry pro. I'll make sure all of your socks are taken care of by moving them from one part of the house to another so do not fret, if you miss one - I'll find it!

Over the last few weeks I've really been working on my crate and potty training. While I don't love being in the crate during the day, because I prefer to be with my friends, I like sleeping in there at night. I've gotten much better at not going potty in the home and I also think I've trained my humans better to understand when I need to go, too. I've also learned some new skills like "crawl" and "stay", especially learning to "stay" when my food is on its way.

Is anyone you know a pro snuggler? I'm looking for a friend to hang out with me and give me lots of pets while we curl up in front of a movie this winter.

PUPDATE 1

Helloooo!!!! I'm Donte, a loveable snuggler who also loves to run around and play. I'm 5 months old and extremely curious; I love to explore everything around me. I spend half of my day snuggling on the couch in funny positions and the other half playing on my own with different toys around the house- especially blankets, kongs and plush toys. Fun fact, I'm pretty agile and sneaky so I will peek over the countertops, jump from couch to couch, and steal a sweater or a sock.

A typical day for me starts with getting let out of my crate, going for a walk, and eating breakfast around 6:30am - 7am. Then I get to play for about an hour before my humans start working from home. I’ll usually play on my own or snuggle while they work. I get to go for a longer walk and have more play time around noon and 5pm, and I really get the zoomies around 7pm after dinner. I go out for a final potty around 9 or 10pm and then get crated for the night.

I love people and other dogs, and would likely love another dog sibling so we can play more often or at least some fun pups nearby so we can run around and play. I love people and will go up and say hi, but I am still a little shy so I sometimes hide behind my humans when new people approach too quickly. I tend to warm up quickly and do best when given a chance to have a slow intro. I like children but I have not met or played with any off-leash and none of them that I have seen while on-leash have been younger than 6 years old.

I have not been around cats but I don’t think I’d do well living with one because I am so active and might try to chase a cat.

I'm a typical pup, still in training and working on some basic commands so I need humans who will help set boundaries and reinforce my training. I have already learned "sit" and am working on "down,” "stay," "off," and "go home" (go to my crate). I don't always let my humans know when I need to potty but I do sniff around a lot and they learn to read my cues. I'm still adapting to my crate. I am often nervous to be lonely all night long but am learning to adjust. Because I howl while adjusting to my crate at night, I might do best in a home without shared walls. But I’m typically quiet while crated during the day! It definitely helps if my humans give me treats in the crate or turn on the TV or some music to help distract me.

I can't wait to find my next home and shower my family with snuggles and nibbles.

Let's see if we're a good match!
