Dexter has perfected the art of being both majestic and downright goofy. He’s a tall drink of water with an even bigger capacity for love, and he’s ready to share it with a family who appreciates a dog that doubles as a couch companion and part-time comedian.
Dexter is a certified snuggler. If you sit, he will gently lean all 100+ pounds of himself against you like a living weighted blanket. Bonus points for you if you'll invite him up onto the couch next to you. He is calm and well-mannered: He’s past the puppy chaos and has settled into a mellow, easygoing rhythm. He loves a good nap almost as much as he loves his people.
Dexter would do best with a family who: Appreciates big dogs & has space for him to stretch out (he believes he’s compact, but… he is not); enjoys slow walks and quiet evenings; and above all, wants a loyal, gentle companion who will adore them endlessly.
