✅ Dawson is a young dog who has spent most of his life in a 5x8 kennel, not enough play and run time.
✅ Since coming into foster, he has adjusted well and can walk on the leash as well as be trusted to free roam when alone.
✅ Comes when called. He likes to visit all the other dogs outside kennels, just to say hello. He loves to be petted.
✅ Belly rubs and sits at your feet, very close to his person.
✅ He is still a very energetic pup and will need a very active family with a space for zoomies.
✅ Teen age kids would be the best fit for him.
✅ He is loving and sweet, he sits for you with encouragement.
✅ We are working on his sitting at doors, but sometimes he is just too excited to wait! He loves to run zoomies in the yard.
✅ Dawson crates well, he loves his crate and goes into it willingly - flops down to rest and nap. He entertains himself with a calf hoof or big chew.
✅ Dawson tested with 6 cats in a large room, although curious he was not aggressive.
✅ We have a lot of squirrels; he would love to “get 'em!” I think they get on the trees closest to the fence to aggravate him.
✅ He will be a great, but lively, addition to an active family or a single, active person.
