Updates
Dante found his people on September 19, 2020!

Dante goes on 20-minute run in the morning and a 20-minute walk in the evening. During the day, he’ll roam around his apartment and fenced patio, often napping in the same room as his favorite human. He does not need active attention, but likes being in the room where the action’s at, except at night when he sleeps in his crate.

He is friendly and protective of kids in the family, though I would not recommend him to families with children because of his size, which may be difficult to control when he pulls on the leash. He’s timid and shy around strangers at first, though not in an aggressive manner. He may test strangers by barking if they get close but will not bite or jump at them.

Dante is a medium energy dog. He loves roaming around the house and going for walks or runs, and he’s perfectly capable of lying on the floor or couch inside during a rainy day. He’s not very active until you take him outside the house. He’s very good on leash during walks but be mindful that he has a strong prey drive and will try to chase rabbits and squirrels.

He’s good with other dogs of all size, as he grew up around them at a rescue facility in Texas. We’re unsure of his disposition toward cats but Fetch can cat test him if needed.

When home alone, he displays signs of separation anxiety. He will whine and bark for a while before settling down. When alone, he does best being allowed to roam around indoors.

Dante is crate trained, potty trained and can open doors. He's very alert and easy to please. He’s trained in basic commands. He doesn’t chew on furniture or toys which aren’t his, and he’s generally not very interested in toys or games. He's a good dog!
