Meet Colby
Meet Colby! He loves naps and snuggles, but his favorite activity is stealing your heart! Colby is being fostered with his brother Pepper Jack and 2 adult dogs and has socialized very quickly into the home. He currently sleeps in a penned in area and can roam when supervised. He's a chewer, so will need the right toys and supervision to redirect him when needed. As a typical puppy, Colby will require training. We've started on house training, leash training, and some simple commands such as 'come' and 'sit'. He's responsive to treats for training. When he's not playing or napping with his brother, he likes to climb into his foster family's laps for all the snuggles, belly rubs, kisses, and pets. He likes to go outside and recently discovered that snow is fun! He also likes running through piles of crinkly leaves. He's a very sweet boy who has a LOT of love to give!
Colby's day is interspersed with play and naps. In general there's about an hour of play time followed by a few hours of nap time. He usually settles down for the night around 8pm and will sleep through the night until his foster family is up around 6am. He really enjoys being around his people and would do best in a home where someone would be around most of the day or be able to spend time with him. He likes to lay on the couch next to his foster mom while she works from home. Having another dog that he can play with would likely be beneficial for him as well, but not required if his new home has people around to play with him.

Adopting a newborn puppy from Fetch
At Fetch, we’re proud of the loving, healthy puppies born and raised in our care. We have raised more than 200 newborn puppies and counting, in addition to countless litters transferred to us when they were just days old. Each puppy receives round-the-clock attention, expert care, and a whole lot of love from the very start. Our team of volunteers work tirelessly to make sure they get everything they need, from socialization and basic training to regular veterinary visits. By the time our puppies are ready to go to their forever homes, they are well-prepared to join families and bring joy to their adopters’ lives.
Adopting a puppy from Fetch means you don’t have to go to a breeder to find a healthy, happy companion. Our puppies are raised to be adaptable, comfortable around people and other animals, and ready to embrace new experiences. We take time to observe each puppy’s unique personality, so when it’s time for them to join a new family, we make sure it’s the right fit. This individualized approach helps our puppies thrive in their new homes and brings joy to everyone involved. We have a select few foster homes that specialize in raising litters, and have each raised dozens of litters for our rescue. Having an experienced eye care for these puppies as they grow up is critical to their long-term success.
When you choose to adopt a puppy through Fetch, you’re not only welcoming a wonderful puppy into your family, but you’re also helping to save more lives. Each adoption frees up space and resources for other dogs who need our care, allowing us to help more animals find loving homes. Adopting a puppy from Fetch Wisconsin Rescue gives you a lifelong companion and supports our mission to save lives—one pup at a time.
