As per our 12 year old:
Clyde is so, so, so sweet. He is a joy to have around the house. He is good with toys and other dogs. He is great with our dog Gidget, who is the best dog around. He is great on a leash, even our 7-year old can walk him. He’s scruffy, sweet, and I wish I could make my parents keep him.
Per the grown ups:
Clyde is a special tuxedo-ed fellow. At 6 months old he weighs about 35 pounds and will likely finish out around 50-55 pounds. He is great with our 14, 12, and 7 year olds, plus an innumerable number of other children met on walks to and from school. He is also great with our resident dog. Clyde is amazing on a leash, especially considering he’s a puppy.
All things are not perfect, of course, and Clyde is still a puppy. He is working on crate training. He is rather sad to be left alone and would probably not currently do well in an apartment. This is improving, and he’s great about 80% of the time. Clyde is still figuring out all things house training but is improving everyday and does very well with a set schedule. He is a little reactive to other dogs on leash, but is very easily redirected and has played will with every dog he has met.
Clyde is such a sweet boy. We already love him and want him to go to the best place imaginable. With love, patience, and training, he will be a wonderful family member.
