Labrador Retriever | male | 3 YEARS Old | 84 Lbs

QUICK FACTS: ✔️ Good with other dogs! ✔️ Good with cats! ✔️ Good with kids! ✔️ Potty trained! ✔️ Crate trained! ✔️ Good in the car! ✔️ Good for beginner dog owner! ✔️ Could do okay in an apartment

Charlie is your friendly, neighborhood black lab--he's everybody's best friend! He has really meshed into his foster home-life quickly. He free eats successfully with the other dogs, eating only when hungry and showing no signs of protecting food or treats. While he is working on "sit," he quickly learned to come in and out of the dog door. When I open the treat jar, he goes right into his crate. (Again, still working on sit......but it's only been a couple of days!) He is silly and playful, playing very nicely with dogs, kids, and cats. While he is learning that cats do not like playing, he does not show a prey drive. He is sharp and just wants to make his people happy. He runs laps in the yard, but also spends much of the day relaxing in the sun and lying next to his people and dog buddies. He would make a great running buddy once he learns his leash manners. He sleeps quietly in his crate all night and does well crated when left alone for a few hours. He is house trained and working on ringing the bell when he needs to go out. Charlie is not a big barker and would do alright in an apartment, but due to his size and energy level he would really like an active person or room to stretch his legs. He loves toys and has left the non-toys alone. Charlie is just looking for a new best friend!
