Meet Cashmere! This spunky little pup is so much fun. She is easy going, adventurous and loves to be the center of attention.

Cashmere s a very typical, 2.5 month old puppy. She loves to be outside, sniffing around or playing chase with her pals. She is a confident little pup that is comfortable playing with and setting boundaries for bigger dogs. She loves toys and settling in to chomp on toys before plopping down for a nap. Speaking of naps, one of Cashmere's most endearing qualities is the way she just melts into the floor or ground when she is ready to pass out. The need to nap may strike when in the middle of the yard, laying on the deck, sprawled on the kitchen tile or under the end table on the hardwood floor.

She spends her days practicing crate training, playing in the yard with her foster siblings and emptying out the toy box. She loves meal times and has done well sharing her eating space with the other puppies we are fostering, though will try to sneak some from other pups’ bowls if she finishes first. She plays hard and crashes hard after lots of playtime. After a busy day of playing, she loves to snuggle near the humans or other puppies as the evening winds down.

Cashmere has done really well with potty training if you keep her on a schedule, especially for being so young. She goes outside right away after being let out of the crate, naps or bouts of heavy playtime. She does still have accidents though so she will need to be watched closely. We are also working hard on crate training. She is used to getting a frozen kong or a chew to chomp on when she goes in so she typically is quiet until she is done with those, might fuss a bit and then pass out. She is typically pretty quiet unless she hears us in the house while she is crated. Our routine is being crated for about 3-4 hour chunks with a long break at lunch. Overnight she is crated and has been doing well for 6-7 hours without a potty break.

Cashmere has loved meeting new people. She does get excited and will jump up so we are working on those boundaries. She doesn't have kids in her foster home and has really only seen them on walks. She is still teething and can get mouthy when excited so would need supervision around younger kids until she learns those boundaries.

She currently has four other pups in her foster home: two adult dogs and two other puppies. She plays mostly with the other puppies in her foster home and loves to wrestle and chase. She can be vocal when playing with the other dogs and loves to bark to try to get them to engage. She will also bark if startled (if she is sleeping and someone comes in or if people suddenly appear from another room) and if she hears things while crated sometimes, so would probably do best in a home without shared walls. She gets excited for time with the adult pups but is submissive with them and gives space, if needed. Cashmere would love a canine friend in her forever home.

Cashmere does have two kitties in her foster home. She is very interested in the kitties. She does well when the cats are just hanging out or if she is distracted by something else but will chase/try to play with them if they run. Based on my observations, I think she could live with a cat but would need supervised interaction and some correction from both felines and humans so she can learn those boundaries.

Cashmere gets most of her energy out playing with the other pups in her home. She loves wrestling and playing chase. She is a medium energy gal that likes long naps after play time. She does ok on leash but walks like a typical puppy so will need some practice. She gets distracted easily and likes to stop to sniff around, eat dandelions and admire her fluffy coat in her reflection on the side of parked cars. She does well in the car (crated) and settles in after minimal fussing for the ride.

When we leave, Cashmere is crated. She is still very much a puppy so the crate keeps her out of trouble (chewing, accidents, making other messes). She will chew on cords, shoes, scraps on the floor, etc. so will need to be closely monitored.

We have loved having this silly pup in our home and know she will be a great fit for just about any family.
