Carmella is a snuggly, wiggly, pretty, kind, huge-eared, playful boxer mix who is about 2 years and a few months old. She was diagnosed with heartworm, hookworm, and lyme disease at her first vet appointment after coming to WI. While she underwent the lengthy treatment for heartworm the last few months she has had to stay calm and her walks and activity have been limited. But now she’s ready to live her full, energetic puppy life!!!
Carmella is housebroken, crate trained, and overall pretty quiet. She has only barked occasionally, sleeps through the night, can stay in the crate for a full workday, and would love to get up on furniture if she’s allowed but can also deal with a non-furniture lifestyle. Her personality is really sweet - she loves to play but she calms down nicely too and is a good companion pup.
Carmella has been living with an 11 and 9 year old and she is very good with them. The kids' younger cousins also met Carmella and she was very good with them too. She is fairly non-reactive around dogs - she hasn’t been allowed to play with other dogs during her treatment, but when we walk by dogs she doesn’t get overly excited or pull on her leash. If she sees a bunny, that’s a different story!
