Cardi B (aka Cardi, aka “bb”) is lovely, loving, and full of puppy energy! She arrived in WI ready and raring to find her family! She exhibits normal puppy behaviors like chewing on toys, household items, and fingers and will need help learning basic manners including potty training (though she is making great strides in that department). She currently lives with two other dogs and enjoys looking to them for modeling behaviors, but she would also enjoy being the center of attention as an only dog. She can be skittish in new environments or with sudden action (cars whizzing by, motorcycles revving their engines), but is able to quickly adapt when the other people and/or dogs around her model behavior that is not fearful, anxious, or reactive. While skittish, she also seems to be overconfident in her body’s ability to move. She often behaves like a sugar glider lacking in spatial awareness and agility, and has even managed to sustain minor injuries from her choices. At night she sleeps in her kennel and has even managed to pull reverse all-nighters since her arrival, not even requiring trips outside once tucked in.
Cardi B loves worming around in the grass or dirt - particularly when the sun is shining on her - and her activity level might be best equated to that of the Energizer Bunny. While at first she protests, she does quickly succumb to a mandated nap in her kennel. She loves to play, is food motivated, and is hoping to find a home ample with cuddling and enrichment.
Cardi B will be adopted out with an addendum to her contract to be spayed at an appropriate age.
