Angela wakes up around 6 am when my husband gets up for work and lets her out. She eats around 6:30-6:45 am and LOVES food. Then she chills and plays with toys or sleeps for a bit until she goes outside again before I leave at 7:30 am, and she goes into her crate with a favorite treat and a yak cheese and her stuffed toy. We put her crate in our laundry room when we are gone. She fusses for a few minutes and then settles down (or not at all if it's a good treat). When I come home around 9:30 am, she goes out again to potty and outdoor time, usually including a short walk around the neighborhood and then play in the yard.
Being outdoors is one of her favorite things, chasing leaves, laying in the sun, and especially playing with other dogs. She is very social with dogs, cats, and people. She wants everyone to be her friend! A snack around lunch time is usually a small chicken jerky, a frozen small applesauce, a kong filled with a plain yogurt/peanut butter mix or half a milk bone. After another potty, she settles in for a nap. If you have an empty lap, she loves to snuggle up on it. She's little, so if you have the capacity for that, it is the best thing ever! Before supper, she gets another longer walk with our dog. Supper time is around 4:45 pm. Playtime or nap time follows before another potty break before bed, which is around 9 pm. We put her in the crate with a teeth cleaning treat while we are still up and about, turning the lights out while we watch a TV show or news to signal her bedtime. After a few minutes of settling in, she is down for the night until my husband wakes her up at 6 am.
