Meet Lulu, an active Great Pyrenees puppy with beautiful hazel eyes and a little star on her forehead like a pony! If you’re looking for a medium-energy pup who loves to play outside and chew on toys, she’s your gal!
A 6 ft physical fence or exercise plan in place is highly recommended. Great Pyrenees knowledge is a plus!
Lulu begins her day at 8 AM with a morning potty break on leash outside, followed by a brief breakfast and stretch break. From 9 AM - 2:15 PM, Lulu waits in her crate for her foster to return from work. She’s let out for an afternoon potty break and then is given free time in her playpen. Her general schedule after that involves potty breaks every 2-3 hours and several play sessions in and outside of her playpen until 9 PM for bedtime. A few times a week, she goes for short walks around the neighborhood.
Lulu is very treat motivated and will even take kibble as a treat. Here’s a list of what she knows and is working on:
Knows:
· Crate-trained
· Sit

· “Go potty” (number 1)
· “Come” (when she wants to)
· “Go home” (when she wants to)
· Will go to her pen or crate if led to it

House-training seems to be best when she is on a consistent schedule of 2-3 hours, going potty after eating and drinking, and under supervision. Her walking skills need work. She is generally confident, but will pull if scared or zigzag in front of you.
She is currently being fostered with two adult/senior male dogs and would do well with another confident dog who is playful and tolerant of puppy behavior. She has met one cat and was unsure of what it was. She’s working on socializing outside of her foster home. She’s very shy around new people and dogs and will need to continue to work on her socialization skills.
